Bundle builder

A hearing coming up, and a pile of papers to turn into a court bundle?

The judge reads your case from a bundle: your papers in order, with an index and page numbers, sent to the court and the other side 5 working days before the hearing. A solicitor charges for their time on it, and few publish a fixed fee. Wren puts your bundle together from the papers you have already saved, so you are not sorting and numbering pages by hand.

Typical published figures, not quotes. Court fees are extra either way. The hour is the courts’ 2026 guideline rate for a solicitor with over 8 years’ experience outside London (Grade A, National 1 and National 2), £288 to £295 an hour, plus VAT (GOV.UK, solicitors’ guideline hourly rates, from 1 January 2026). Firms set their own rates.

Not sure what the court wants in a bundle?

  • Not sure what goes in, or in what order?

Save your letters, statements, evidence and orders as you go, and tick the ones to include. Wren sets them out in the order the court’s rules for bundles describe.

  • Dreading numbering hundreds of pages?

Wren builds one PDF with an index at the front, page numbers on every page and a bookmark for each document, so the judge can find each one.

  • Worried about missing the date?

Wren works out when your bundle is due from your hearing date and tells you if it runs over the usual 350-page limit.

Wren puts it together, you check it and send it.

Wren does not give legal advice. If you need it, we can arrange a direct access barrister through HireaBarrister, Wren's sister company.
